Net Zero
At Lynch we are fully committed to achieving our Net Zero. We have implemented our Net Zero strategy by introducing the use of sustainable site practices and the latest Carbon Reduction technologies currently available.
At the start of 2022 we made the permanent switch to Bio-fuel and we haven’t looked back. Through the use of sustainably sourced, palm-oil free bio-fuel, we have reduced our local emissions instantly by 90%. As standard, bio-fuel is used in all compatible plant, vehicles, welfare and tools present on our sites.
To achieve our Net Zero goal we have undertaken extensive research and trialed a number of innovative new technologies, including our solar generator. As we continue to push the boundaries of site sustainability, we are excited to observe how the market evolves and new technologies transform construction sites for good.
However, significantly reducing carbon emissions isn’t our only goal. Our site set-ups are designed to reduce noise pollution, light pollution and waste water, ensuring our impact is positive wherever we go. Not only is this highly beneficial to communities surrounding active construction sites, but the disturbance to local wildlife is significantly reduced.
In addition to our site changes, our office based in Derbyshire is designed to have limited negative environmental impact. The office building is constructed from recycled shipping containers. We use 100% renewable energy to power the entire site, including recently installed electric vehicle chargers.
